Acne Acne Pores Pimples

Acne afflicts more than 85% of adolescents by the age of 24 years and up to 50% of adults over 25. It is by far the world's most commonly seen skin inflammatory disease. Acne Vulgaris or Acne is commonly referred to as a case of “pimples” , almost always makes its first appearance at the peak of youth, when it is natural for us to be the most conscious about our looks. Although generally seen on the face, there are rare instances of its appearance on the back and shoulders. Acne is a direct result of oil and dead skin cells blocking the hair follicles. Hair follicles are connected to sebaceous glands, which secrete an oily substance (sebum) necessary for lubricating your hair and skin.If the body secretes excess sebum and produces more dead skin cells, the two can form together as a soft plug in the hair follicles, fostering an environment ideal for bacteria to thrive in.
